Tobias Bergman was born in Stockholm in 1977 and moved to Gothenburg in 2000 to study at the film school. He started directing TV Sketches and commercials for Swedish television. In 2004, Tobias’ work was recognised, he was nominated at Cannes and shortlisted for the Young Director Award. He then produced two consecutive commercials with LOWE Brindfors Stockholm.
As a director, Tobias’ talent is known for the powerful and memorable commercials he creates, mixed with subtle Swedish humour. His work is always a reflection of Tobias’ humble but outgoing personality. He looks for strong characters when casting and is relentless in his search for how the script can improve the idea. He is an experienced and highly accomplished film director, with a long list of awarded work.
