Barry Kimber

Barry began his career at the BBC in 1998 where he wrote and directed trailers, promos and branded films on all BBC channels. In 2002 he left to form the directing duo ‘Albert’ with Andy Poyiadgi. Together, the pair have shot commercials and idents for Ford, Nissan, Wickes, Heinz, Burger King and many others. Collecting 14 Promax awards including seven Golds in the UK and Europe and a platinum award from the USA, and silver arrows from BTA.
They made films for clients like Abbot Mead Vickers, BBH, Crispin Porter, Grey, Leo Burnett, Publicis and TBWA and the memorable promo for A&E USA ‘ Sopranos’

Barry has been directing commercials, branded content and short films for over 20 years for Suzuki, Innocent Super Smoothies, Nivea for Men, Paddy Power, Kronenbourg, SImba and others.

Every time we take him to the table, his artistic spirit and unique aesthetic make even the darkest of people burst out laughing. He is very much aware that humour has to be approached with extreme seriousness and he certainly does that in his unique way
