“For me, comedy is performance. It’s all about the performance. And my job as director, is releasing that performance out of the actors.”
Camila graduated in Film Direction in Buenos Aires, before her deep desire to direct actors better resulted in her moving to New York to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, joining notable alumni like Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie and Uma Thurman.
Starting as an assistant director at the age of 17 while still in school, she has directed in France, Mexico, Chile, South Africa, Italy and the US for brands such as McDonald’s, P & G, Danone, T-Mobile, Domino’s, Nestlé and Ted Talks, among others.
Her work has been recognized with several awards, among which are a Clio, a Cannes Lion and several New Talent Awards.
